Amsterdam, The Netherlands – October 28, 2003 – Flash Networks (www.flashnetworks.com ) a global leader of mobile data delivery solutions announced today that Dr. Yair Shapira, Flash Networks’ VP of Business Development, will deliver a joint keynote address at the GPRS/GSM/3G Network Optimization Conference in Amsterdam on Flash Networks’ successful deployment of the NettGainTM mobile data delivery platform at Vodafone Omnitel. Joining him in presenting will be Dr. Livio Pogliano, Vodafone Omnitel’s Data Transmission & Services Manager. The case study will assess the benefits of mobile IP optimization in Vodafone Omnitel’s GPRS environment on Wednesday 29, 2003 at 09:40 at the Amsterdam, Netherlands Hilton.
Vodafone Omnitel deployed Flash Networks’ NettGain solution, a scalable, carrier grade solution offering a superior user experience for mobile data users, in 2002. Flash Networks accelerates the adoption of mobile data usage by turning wireless data networks into a wire-like, consistent and reliable service. The presentation will evaluate the market need for intelligent mobile data delivery services, determine the current underlying network problems, and assess the maturity of mobile IP optimization as a technology. In the Vodafone Omnitel case study Flash Networks will reviews the end user requirements, show how they were met with the NettGain solution, assesses the approaches taken and identifies the roadmap to higher network and application performance.
