HOLMDEL, N.J. (July 16, 2001) – Flash Networks, Inc., a global provider of wireless and satellite data infrastructure products to carriers and enterprises, announced today that it has signed a partnership agreement with Matsushita Inter-Techno Co., Ltd., (MITC). Under the terms of the agreement, Flash Networks’ NettGain product lines will be distributed by MITC to provide their customers with optimized wireless and satellite solutions. In addition to delivering overall improvements in the speed and reliability of data transmission, NettGain will provide MITC customers with an enhanced Internet browsing experience while providing fast access to a variety of secure sites.

Through Flash Networks’ patent-pending BST (Boosted Session Transport) and Wireless BST protocols, which optimize data flow using various adoptive flow-control mechanisms, NettGain delivers data transmission speeds that are up to six times faster than standard wireless transfer control protocol (TCP).
“Network performance is vital to success for operators and enterprises,” said P.K. Prasanna, president of Flash Networks, Inc. and chief operating officer. “Partnering with MITC will have a major impact in the distribution of Flash’s NettGain product line in Japan and enable MITC to support their customers who need bandwidth optimization and data acceleration solutions."
